4BBB and Combined in Pairs

Foursomes

Handicap calculation for 9 hole foursomes events is determined by the number of shots allocated for each player on the nine played.

Example of a Foursomes event played on Holes 1 to 9 with half combined handicap

• Player 1 – Daily handicap is 17 with 8 shots on Holes 1 to 9
• Player 2 – Daily handicap is 13 with 6 shots on Holes 1 to 9
• Team Handicap is (8 + 6) / 2 = 7

Old method before Slope – 17 + 13 / 2  = 15 then halved for 9 holes = 7.5

Best Ball and Combined for Teams

Ambrose

Handicap calculation for 9 hole Ambrose events are determined by the number of shots allocated for each player on the nine played.

Example of an Ambrose event played on Holes 1 to 9 with quarter combined handicap

• Player 1 – Daily handicap is 17 with 8 shots on Holes 1 to 9
• Player 2 – Daily handicap is 13 with 6 shots on Holes 1 to 9
• Team Handicap is (8 + 6) / 4 = 3.5

Old method before Slope – 17 + 13 / 4  = 7.5 then halved for 9 holes = 3.75
